THE DAY AT FLEA MARKET

It was a beautiful Sunday. The day started as early as 6.45am, me, Roger and my dad almost used up all our energy just by carrying all the stuffs to my dad's truck. Haahaa~ My dad drop us at the flea market location and went over to my cousin, Nana's house to take the things that she is selling. We quickly set up the stall with the help of Nana's dad and my dad. They have been of great help! Basically, just by setting up the stall already took 2 hours. Wow~ *sweat* The fun part was decorating the accessories table! The table cloth was bought at IKEA at a really cheap price of $3 for 3 metres!

The business was slow in the first place. Our first customer was a young little girl who bought something from Nana. Around 12pm to 1pm there was a heavy downpour. It was raining cats and dogs. Our clothes got wet. =\ We got ourselves drenched too while trying to cover our clothes with some plastic bag... Haha! Sounds so funny right?! *bleh~~~* We were so worried that our business will be affected by the rain but slowly our business began to pick up. At one point of time, there were so many customers that we could hardly handle. Hee! Of course we were glad by this! =) Majority I sold most of my accessories like, earrings, necklace, bracelet etc. I only managed to sell 2 pieces of my clothes. =( Because that area was quite a quiet place. There aren't a lot of young people. Most of them are Aunties and their children. My clothes don't suit them at all. Apart from all these, I also sold some of my bags. =) Total earnings for me are around $68++. Nana earns over $100++! Wow! Maybe her clothes appeal more to aunties... LOL...! Opps! She's going to kill me if she sees this!

Near the end of the flea market, a few of my cell group members including my cell group leader came to our stall to support us. Some of them even bought something from us. They also help us to clear up the stall and packed back those stuffs that we didn't manage to sell. Although we didn't earn that much, we had a joyful and fun time together despite the bad weather. Sheryl was there too and helped out in carrying the things back to the truck. All of us went home and had dinner together. *Phew~ what a tiring day~* Praise the Lord for this joyous time!

Message for W283: A big THANK YOU to all of you! Your presence and support really make a difference! =)
